I had two surgeries on the same hip within 6 weeks. The first surgery was a 'cake walk'. The second was not. They gave me a cane after the first operation and a walker after the second. I was so glad to be home after Rehab. Shooing my husband, Kevin, off to work, I looked forward to being home and alone for the first time in a month. Within an hour I experienced a rude awakening. Despite great retraining efforts by the Rehab staff, the only 'living' I seemed to be able to do was to get from one place to another with the walker. But once there - then what? I quickly found there was no way to get a glass of juice from the fridge. Couldn't get the juice to the counter. Couldn't get the juice to the glass. Even the simplest task seemed impossible.

Two days later the Walker Buddy was born. It came out of the 'chute' perfectly. The basket was mesh. I could see my feet when walking. Items carried in the Walker Buddy found their way to the basket center for that important balance. The walker opened and closed perfectly with the Walker Buddy in place. I could get my own plate of food at our favorite buffet. No more struggling to keep my purse on my shoulder while using the walker. The tough vinyl washed in soapy water and dried on the drainboard. Now I get where I need to be...get it done...and bring it back! The Irish (lazy) in me was happy. The Norwegian (stubborn) was satisfied.

Life is hard, if the Walker Buddy makes it any easier for you - that is good. Sandra
